RED DIESEL - Belgian Authorities 03/01/2012
Belgian Authorities have not accepted that red diesel bought in the UK has had duty paid. This is because it is illegal to use red diesel in pleasure vessels in the EU. If you are stopped and fined please contact the RYA with the information or contact the RYA's regional cruising rep via email occp.se@rya.org.uk so that the RYA can take it up with the British Government.
TIME EXPIRED PYROTECHNICS (FLARES)
Out of date flares can now be taken to Dover MRCC for disposal. The procedure is to ring 01304 218500 first to arrange a time and date for them to be accepted.
