IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE FUELS SOLD AT PREMIER MARINAS

As many Premier customers are aware, Premier sells diesel fuels containing Soltron™ at its Brighton, Eastbourne, Chichester, Southsea, Port Solent, Gosport and Swanwick marinas. Solton™ is an advanced enzyme fuel technology developed to work in marine fuel oil to neutralise bacterial growth from contaminants such as ‘Diesel Bug’.

Latest Advice - 16/11/2011

You would have received an email from Premier Marinas on November 10th, 2011 containing advice from Soltron™ on the use of diesel fuel treatments and additives when boats are laid up for winter.

This may have inadvertently raised some questions over the efficacy of mixing other fuel treatments, additives, biocides and non biocides with Soltron™, and Soltron™ would now like to clarify this point.

Soltron™ is a highly effective advanced enzyme fuel technology developed to work in marine fuel oil to neutralise bacterial growth from contaminants such as diesel bug.

However, there are of course many quality suppliers of treatments and additives, one of which you may prefer to use at lay-up time and, if this is the case, Soltron™ has provided the following information:

If you choose to dose fuel containing Soltron™ with an additional branded fuel treatmen t, additive, biocide or non biocide the net effect is likely to be that the Soltron™ enzyme in your fuel is rendered inert. Further, there will be no adverse effect on your engine and the additive or biocide you have introduced should work as expected by its manufacturer because the performance of other products is not affected by Soltron™.

If you have any concerns regarding the stability of the fuel in your tank Soltron™ and Premier would advise that you contact either your marine engineer or the manufacturer or distributor of your preferred fuel treatment or additive
