Since people may soon be preparing to cross the channel and be uncertain about the reaction of the authorities over there, I would draw your attention to the letter from the EC which the RYA have helpfully had translated into French, Dutch and German. Worth printing out a copy if you are concerned.

23rd of Feb Ocean Safety will be doing there very popular and informative talk on safety equipment. They will be inflating a life raft, showing you the contents and giving you the opportunity to taste the rations provided. They will be demonstrating the inflation of several lifejackets and what can go wrong. Volunteers will be asked for to have a go.
16th March John Passmore from Selden Masts will be talking about you and your Rig How to set it up, How to tension the mast, How to get the best out of your mast, maintenance, and much more. This is a very popular talk and sadly will be the last talk that John Passmore will be doing in the Uk as he is moving on So if you havent heard John before, don’t miss it. John is both informative and entertaining.
